V-Cone Blender

CLASSIC DESIGN FOR PHARMACEUTICALS AND NUTRACEUTICALS
The V Cone Blender is a classic tumble mixer for formulations with free-flowing materials and uniform particle size, such as nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals and powders. The simple design provides quick blends and easy discharge and cleaning. The blender rotates on its axis, with material gently converging and dividing for an even, consistent mix. The tumbling action can be gentler for delicate materials. Compared with the competition, the Marion V Cone blender is more durable and features precision tooling and finish for maximum cleanability.

Double-Cone Blender

BATCH MIXING WITH MINIMAL MAINTENANCE
The Double-Cone Blender is an industry standard often used for coffee, teas, pharmaceuticals, glass and ceramic mixing. Tumble blending offers rapid, low-impact mixing, which is particularly good for abrasive solids and semi-dry material. The revolving action induces a highly uniform mix as the end result. The Double-Cone blender is good for mixing materials with trace components, such as flavorings for coffee beans or drink mixes. The configuration can include load cells to weigh incoming materials for high precision blends.

Dryers and Thermal Mixers

WaveMix™ Microwave Thermal mixers with Vacuum Drying

WaveMix™ Thermal Mixers
Industrial Mixing Solutions with Vacuum Drying
Thermal processing equipment is vital technology in the manufacturing process of food, pharmaceutical, chemicals and numerous other types of applications. Thermal processing refers to changing the temperature of a material with the intention of changing its state in some way. The two main techniques for drying bulk materials are direct and indirect thermal processing. Direct methods are based on generating heat and energy within the material itself, where indirect methods rely on transfer heat generated from another source and applied to the material either through conduction or convection.

Presented with challenges from a number of customers originally in the food and chemical industries, Marion Process Solutions set out to find solutions for low temperature and low moisture drying, finish drying, microbial reduction and change of state. Marion’s goal was to provide a direct heating solution that was precise and extremely repeatable for high-value thermal processing.

The result is WaveMix™, an innovative combination of three time-tested technologies into one machine incorporating:
  • Industrial microwave
  • Vacuum
  • Mixing

THERMAL PROCESSING OPTIONS
Drying technologies fall into the following categories:

  • Fluid Bed
  • Rotary
  • Spray
  • Tunnel
  • Freeze
  • Flash
  • Microwave
