Carolina Material Technologies offers Mechanical Conveying Systems for industrial applications. We provide KWS Screw Conveyors, Shaftless Screw Conveyors, Belt Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Vertical Screw Conveyors, Drag Conveyors, Heat Transfer Screws, Aeromechanical Conveyors, Flexible Screw Conveyors, and NERAK Bucket Conveyors
Screw Conveyors are designed for Dry to Semi-fluid Material. These augers are available in the following styles: Horizontal Screw Conveyors and Inclined Screw Conveyors. Screw Conveyors are cost-effective options to efficiently convey material. Our screw feeders are completely enclosed for corrosive or hazardous Requirements.
Shaftless Screw Conveyors
Shaftless Screw Conveyors are Ideal for Sticky and Sluggish Bulk Material. These type of augers offer improved conveying efficiency in comparison to other types of conveyors, and allow greater flexibility for plant layout due to configurations available. With shaftless augers, internal bearings are eliminated.
Belt Conveyors are Ideal for a Variety of Bulk Materials, from Sluggish to Free Flowing and Small to Large Lump Size. These augers are able to handle large conveying capacities, up to 50,000 cubic feet per hour, and offer the capacity to convey materials horizontally or on an incline. With this type of conveyor, horsepower requirements are much lower compared to other conveyors.
Bucket Elevators Convey a wide range of materials. Bucket and Casing Sizes are available for capacities up to 15,000 cubic feet per hour. Our bucket conveyors are completely enclosed for Dust and Weather-tight Operation. The Inlet section can be control fed or flood loaded with bulk materials. Screw-type or internal gravity take-ups are available.
Vertical Screw Conveyors
Vertical Screw Conveyors are designed to handle Dry to Semi-fluid materials. These augers have capacities of up to 6,000 cubic feet per hour, and have the ability to elevate bulk materials up to 30 feet without use of internal bearings. Our vertical screw augers have a totally enclosed design for dust and vapor-tight requirements, and have split tubular housings for easy access.
Drag conveyors are Ideal for handling dry, free-flowing materials. Materials are static and move en-masse by paddles or chain. As a result, there is minimal product degradation during conveying. Another benefit of drag conveyors is that they require less horsepower than other types of conveyors, and the drop-forged chain and paddles provide increased equipment life. They are easily replaceable wear liners for minimal down time, and high torque drive units to power through upset conditions.
Heat Transfer Screw Conveyors
Heat Transfer Screw Conveyors are specially designed for Heating and Cooling Applications. Some examples are: Cooling fly ash from boilers at coal-fired power plants; and Heating lime for asphalt shingle operations.
These high-cost conveyors maintain a specific temperature for food products where there are strict requirements. Another application is cooling drill cuttings from a rotary dryer.
Aeromechanical Conveyors (AMC)
Aeromechanical Conveyors (AMCs) are available in the following configurations: Straight, Horizontal-Vertical, Vertical-Horizontal or Horizontal-Vertical-Horizontal. These types of conveyors offer complete product transfer with minimal amount of material left in conveyor. There is minimal product segregation and product degradation. AMCs are easy to clean-out, and help to minimize dust in the plant. These underrated conveyors offer flow-rates of up to 100 Tons/Hour.
Flexible Screw Conveyors
Flexible Screw Conveyors Easily and Inexpensively Convey Powders, Flakes, Granules and Crystals. Our flexible screw augers are available in 3”, 4”, 5” and 6” Diameters. Portable Flexible Screw Conveyor Units Are Available. Convey Material Vertically, Horizontally or at Virtually Any Angle Due to Flexible UHMW Feed Tube and Open Core helical auger.
