CMT offers the Easy-Clean UniFlex screw conveyor, a simple but ruggedly designed flex auger. This versatile flexible screw conveyor is capable of conveying a wide range of free flowing powders, granules, or small pellets efficiently and safe. The rounded corners allows for quick and easy cleaning, and is fabricated from 304 stainless steel-- making it safe to convey food products. This Easy-Clean Flex Auger is adaptable and easy to integrate with your current upstream and downstream process equipment.

Easy-Clean Flexible Screw Conveyors
The Easy-Clean Flexible Screw Conveyor consists of two main compartments-- a fixed lower portable base frame with 4 swivel casters, and an upper conveyor assembly. The lower portable frame supports a bearing-shaft pivot system which allows the upper conveyor to be tilted down to a horizontal position. This upper conveyor assembly supports the infeed hopper, casing and drive / discharge assembly.
The UniFlex Flex Auger is very economical, having a low initial cost and providing residual labor savings after installation. With a small footprint and small diameter flexible tube, it can fit into tight areas, where other conveyors take up too much space. This means you can automate elevating and filling applications previously were considered unsuitable. Eliminating the “ladders and pails” will do much to improve plant safety as well.
The standard configuration as shown here is a machine with the casing at a 45° incline. This flexible screw conveyor can also run horizontally. In order to by-pass existing equipment or other obstacles, the casing can have a radius to “flexibly” adapt to your site. The UniFlex is available both as a fixed stationary conveyor, and as a convenient portable unit.
