Thomas literally “wrote the book” on screw conveyors, as shown opposite. All conveyors are manufactured according to CEMA standards, ensuring consistency when replacement parts are required.
Screw Conveyors, by definition, are fed by another device and convey product at partial trough loadings. Conveyors can be configured for specialty processing while conveying.
Screw Feeders are flood fed and actually feed at a desired rate while conveying the product from point A to point B.
Inclined Conveyors are used to convey and elevate. Generally 30-degrees is the maximum angle for inclination, although units are in service @ 50-degrees. Actual incline is material dependent.
Live Bottom Conveyors are used in applications in which straight walled hoppers are required for consistent material flow. In this case a multiple screw system is connected to the outlet of the hopper. Hoppers with a “spreading” conveyor can be provided as a complete system. Wood Chips and Kaolin Clay are typical applications.
Mixing Conveyors are standard conveyors fitted with one of various types of flighting to mix two or more products over the conveying distance. Flighting types: Ribbon, Cut & Fold, Paddle.
